About

Hi, I’m Robin.

Welcome to Songbird Yoga.

Robin Mandell took her first yoga class in 2004, and has been practicing, on and off the mat, ever since. As someone with multiple lifelong disabilities, she knows first-hand how the yogic practices can help people feel more connected with, and in control of, their bodies. After some major life upheavals and a cross-country move to Seattle in 2013, Robin found her “yoga home” at Seattle Yoga Arts. She discovered that yoga helped her feel safe and cared for, and playful and creative – and she discovered a deep calling to share these tools and gifts with others.

Robin owes a deep bow of respect and gratitude to her teacher training faculty – Denise Benitez, Ellen Boyle, Beth Award, and Amy Reid – and to studio teachers Elizabeth Rainey and Bianca Raffety, for their unwavering acceptance and willingness to answer questions.

Three of Robin’s favorite things: dogs, tea, and gluten-free cookies.

Credentials include:

• January – December 2017: 200-hour yoga teacher training with Seattle Yoga Arts

• March 2018 – 30-hour Accessible Yoga Training with Jivana Heyman, founder of Accessible Yoga
